It seems that all of sets in the driver show larger resolution than before.
In fact, the WIDTH is set at 3x it's previous value. This doesn't seem to effect anything but the screenshots and this change is mostly likely by design. There are other drivers which report a resolution which is not the one actually used in the game and is determined at runtime per set. Before being a confirmed bug, I'll let Aaron comment.

That's the resolution necessary to reproduce the games, sorry you don't like it. Expand your screenshots 3x in the narrow direction to get them at the aspect ratio you are used to.

So why Tazz-mania (set 1) it uses but other sets no ?

The other sets are still linked to the old way of doing things:

tazzmang - Driver galaxold.c (unconverted sets from the old galaxian.c source)
tazmani2 - Driver scobra.c (this driver and others (check the whatsnew.txt) will be converted to new galdrvr.c eventually)

Just because the old way was hacked to work doesn't mean it's the proper way to emulate it.

should be correct. the starfield on the real hardware has a higher resolution than the game, so the minimum resolution needed for an accurate starfield is higher.

Thanks for info. I guess now arcade monitors fans have to work a bit to run these games.
