| Steps To Reproduce |
First delete the cfg\changela.cfg and the mame.ini (or move the mame.ini into another directory). If you have not create a new mame.ini for MAME 0.125u6 with MAME -cc, then do this first and move this file into another directory. Now start Change Lanes and go into the Input menu and you will see that Dial Dec is set to LEFT and Dial Inc to Right. Now move the mame.ini back into your MAME or MAME\ini directory and start Change Lanes again. Now you see in the input menu that Dial Dec is set to Right and Dial Inc is set to LEFT. car move backwards. Now press SPACE and the car move foreward. If you now exit MAME and start again, the car move correct forward. MAME saved the 'Gear Shift' setting, but this is not correct. It must be set to forward all the time. Above moved to 01910. |

I tried to duplicate on my setup, following your instructions and I get the same Left/Right settings for Dial Dec and Dial Inc before and after the MAME.INI file is re-added. It's very possible you have a per game or per driver .INI file influencing the settings. The .CFG is not the only file that can have settings. Regarding the SPACE defaulting to reverse - this is a trival matter and no one certain way is 100% correct. For ease of use, I could understand the sense of putting that trigger to forward by default - but it not an emulation issue. If anything, it can be considered a feature request. Added control panel picture. |

Just found the problem in the mame.ini, it was my old ctrlr config for my sidewinder. If i delete sidewinder from ctrlr in the mame.ini, then the setting for Dial Dec/Inc =LEFT/ Right are ok. Tafoid: You can delete this bug. Or change it with only the 'Gear Shift' problem. |
