Sorry to play the spoiler but there is nothing we can do here. In version 0.113 of MAME - there was NO official support for Save States for the drivers which mk2, mk3, umk3 are part of. You should be seeing a pop-up message when saving which states this. Also, potential bug reports before they are posted should be confirmed on the most recent release MAMEDEV.ORG release (0.125) - preferably the latest U release (0.125u8) of the current MAMEDEV sources. In general, sound echos and audio delay are a symptom of a computer which does not have enough CPU to run an emulation.

Please refer to the documents available here (links at the top of the page) for Rules and Guidelines, FAQ and Legend and attributes to learn more about the testing/reporting process.

EDIT: I've left open for some current version testing on a decent spec machine. For me, I don't have enough juice to test this title properly on 0.125u8. There might be validity to this report.

I just went back and tested MK2 on version 0.125 (where save states are supported for the game) and I still got this bug. I used to play the game a lot on version 0.106 (back when it didn't support save states) and I never saw (or rather, hear) this bug occuring when I did save and reload.

Regarding computers, I own a Dell DXG061 with dual x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel Note: 02128 Mhz processors and has a total virtual memory of 2.00 GB, so I don't believe that it is a problem of my computer having enough CPU.

Fujix was able to confirm on his machine using first my save state I made of U8 and trying one of his own he made. There was a noticeable sound delay (at least 1 second). We can confirm the sound delay at least.

I can confirm this isn't happening anymore.
