Summary 02324: dokyusei, dokyusp, gakusai, gakusai2: Game doesn't start
Description Launching these games results in a black / white / corrupted screen (depending on the set) forever. emulation don't actually freeze (and you can hear noise from the sound emulation)

previously they briefly stayed in that screen and then moved to correct emulation

here, the games don't start but stay on a black screen

no crash however. are you sure MAME is crashing at your end?

ok, therefore my problem is different.

however, I cannot confirm the crash on SDLMAME 0.127u4 (32bit)

maybe i used the wrong word.
I mean yes, the game freezes on black screen to me too.
MAME is still working.

then, please, keep your time to read http://mametesters.org/legend.html before posting issues and choose the correct values in the various fields.

we appreciate your reports but if they are correctly entered the first time, it's easier to have them fixed soon :)

Changing the main IRQs to HOLD_LINE instead of ASSERT_LINE (and removing an unused IRQ) makes the games work perfectly. No time to attach a diff because I'm away from home. However it's easy to find where the changes have to be applied.
