it could be the interrupt hack introduced a while ago to fix the slowdowns and that causes other problems in the driver. I think it's time to remove it, even if I have not proofs it's related to this issue too.

the sprites are still glitchy at times, IMHO Mamesick is right and it's the interrupt hack, Not sure I can do much about it, but i'll keep it in mind when I convert this to use the common device.

I didn't noticed any graphics bugs. Played till half of second level. Also I didn't noticed slowdowns.

I'll retest latest SVN build using 64 bit version. You are using most recent source from redump.net ?


EDIT. I was able to reproduces this by allowing to stay many object on screen at once (by shooting once on tanks not destroying them completly). After a while with many object like this some indeed stay on screen in one position while background is scrolling. If fact only partially shoot down tanks does have this behaviour.

Retested on computer at work with default mame values and core i5 2400 but this probably does not matter.

Are there proofs is it a real MAME bug? As far as I read from Haynor666, it happens only on particular conditions... and the PCB video doesn't help too much. I'm happy the slowdowns are gone away even with the irq hack removal, though.

I watch today also attract mode. There at least 4 different levels shows on the fourth even chopper stalls on screen. We need at least video from attract mode with 4 levels shown.

No problems on attract mode, I've played through half of first level and no problems as well but since I didn't reproduced this first time it might good idea to wait for feedback form other testers :]

Sadly it's not. Sometimes game starts and it's ok but sometimes sprite problems reappears.

The issue is still not fixed. Sometime (as You can see on screenshots) is visible right from the beginning, sometimes after You play some time.

I'll set it back to confirmed then.. perfect interleave definitely helped, but clearly there's more to it.
