mmm... this bug is not clear to me...

I can crash the game (i.e. cause the game to produce an "Illegal Instruction" on-screen message) but I cannot crash MAME, nor obtain any error message from the emulator.

It seems this bug should be a "Critical (Game)" issue and have a 'possible' flag... but maybe it's not the issue the original reporter was referring to...

the protection isn't correctly patched for this set.. so it's a bug in the emulation of the game

(maybe the patches should be removed, and the protection simulated.. but it's possible they use the IGS chip that actually patches the rom like Dragon World 2, in which case the patches are actually the correct approach, at least until whatever chip is doing the patches gets dumped..)

Added a snap of the screen appearing when start is pressed

No 'possible' flag as per Haze comment. It's an emulation bug.

I've added some protection patches. It should be fixed in the next release.
