Summary 05703: dblewing: lag/desync between sprites and background
Description Hello
I've noticed desyncs between sprites and background
Most noticeable are the craters

Is it safe to report others games with same desync problems ?
I think devs are aware of them and I don't want to bother them or be a "request" guy but it should be nice to report them as a reminder
especially when games have no gfx flag
Thank you
Steps To Reproduce Just play and move left right quickly

Hard to say. Each hardware is different and not every game is 'perfect'.

FWIW there's a related note in the source: "should sprites be buffered, is the Deco '77' a '71' or similar?"

yeah, some games have it on real hardware, others don't.

adding it in MAME tends to be unpopular with the shmup crowd because they hate the extra 1 frame delay, but when present on real hardware we should add it.

it tends to look a LOT worse on sharp modern displays than it did on older monitors, which is probably why some games had it on original hardware, although some cases are so horrific I'm pretty sure people would have noticed even back then.
