Summary MESS-specific 05729: pce, tg16: The demo "Split-Resolution Demo by Chris Covell" does not dispaly properly.
Description The demo "Split-Resolution Demo by Chris Covell" does not work as it should ...

compare with the picture inside of pouet "SplitRes.zip" file:

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=24923
Steps To Reproduce mess pce -cart "SplitRes.pce"
Additional Information Demo is tested with MESS pce system ... if try to use tg16 system it will crash the emu while starting !!!
The "SplitRes_readme.txt" says: "It's a little technical demo for the PC-Engine/Turbografx-16 system ..."

AFAIK, the emu "RetroArch with mednafen_pce_fast_libretro.dll" run it w/o a problem.

NOTE: Original issue with crashing resolved, but issue with incorrect display of screen remains. (Fixed 0.155 - etabeta)

Adjusted Category since it is a crashing error, not simply a graphics issue. Confirmed

Now tested the demo "SplitRes" in an older unofficial messui 0143u3b pce system ... it seems to work w/o problem here.

Yes, the most recent SVN should have a fix (was an issue with loading carts via the new slot system). 0.155 should show it fixed.

Yeah, but seems it does not work properly ... just compare it running in mess 0.155 (see Attached Files) with pictures on below link:

Just tested ... seems the mess0147u4b is latest version that run it correctly (as is shown on above link) !!! (so it is broken from mess0148b version)

Reopened as there is an issue with graphic presentation rather than making a completely new bug.
