Summary 06240: pdrift: Game reboots when you finish Course B
Description When you end the Course B winning all races game reboots.
Sometimes it happens that the emulator crashes.
Rarely the game behaves correctly ending with the Extra Stage.
It is random.
Strangely as far as I test the game works properly with the Course E that ends successfully with Extra Stage with no problems .
Steps To Reproduce Win all races of the Course B

Tough game to play with a standard gamepad. I kept hitting 4th place so the game doesn't let me continue on. There are cheats enabled for this game however I'd rather not resort to that in the attempt to reproduce the reported behavior.
Will try and practice more in the coming days.

Odd issue - I cannot play back the provided .inp successfully on my Window 7 machine using the mamedev.org binary for 0.174
To Scagazza: Are you able to play back to a crash succesfully? In multiple attempts I usually start to lose sync somewhere during 3rd or 4th race.

The INP doesn't playback for me either. I think you may have NVRAM present, which is causing issues for the rest of us trying to play it back.
Could you make an INP without anything in the nvram/pdrift folder?

I have tried to record another inp after deleting nvram but it doesn't work, it goes out of sync during playback.
Sorry

Perhaps you might be able to do a save state before the game reboots or randomly crashes as you mention - it would give Developers something to work from.
As of now the chances of debugging this are low until we get a good crash/stack crawl/backtrace and having a save state just before the event would help greatly.

Save State uploaded.
Just before the end of the last stage.

You have to remove NVRAM for playback also. Otherwise you can't get a consistent state for the INP to start from.

There is another rare random bug.
When overtaking a competitor your position is not changed.

Might the INP issue here be related to 06301 by any chance?
