Summary 06400: bstars2: Graphic issue on right edge of screen while scrolling
Description When scrolling to the right (After hitting far left boundary) graphic artifacts are displayed on right edge of screen.
Steps To Reproduce 1. Play game
2. Hit ball to far left Boundary
3. On the balls rebound from boundary - Observe the right screen edge.
Additional Information I don't have an original to compare against - So I'm not sure if this is expected - But I wouldn't think so as it's pretty visible.

i think this video below is not mame perhaps so maybe useful
have a look at 18:40 into the video
(note: i noticed some garbage on the right hand side of the screen, at around 18:20 ... maybe it happens more in the video, i did not watch it all or look very closely)

I think you may be right.

You can hear him select it (Via controller?) @ 1:00 min into the video before it cuts to the in game screen.

You can also see a "Cheat" system @ 1:20 - Never seen anything in Mame that looks like that.

just had a look at 1:20 -- then google took me to:

http://unibios.free.fr/

"The UNIVERSE BIOS is for owners of MVS or AES hardware that want an easy way to change country region or between Arcade or Console mode on boot. Also included are other features that are not possible using the standard MVS bios.

The UNIVERSE BIOS is also designed to give easy access to things like inserting coins, test mode and memory card management when using the joystick ports only. Of course the BIOS still allows standard operation too. "

... so going by the youtube video showing the actual hardware, it kind of seems like the garbage on the right hand side of the screen in your mame screenshot is 'worse' than what you get when using the actual hardware, but hopefully the devs can give a more expert qualified opinion on this matter than i can =)

things like this happen on pretty much every neogeo game, they're not bugs.

Excess on the borders is expected for many neogeo games. This is known and present in actual arcade titles.

We also have policy not to accept neogeo graphic bugs unless they are first determined (with actual hardware) to be valid.

NeoGeo Graphic Glitches
We have received a lot of graphical glitches in NeoGeo games such as garbage, flickering etc. and usually they are original bugs. So we will accept suchlike minor graphical issue of NeoGeo games only if you confirmed it with the original.

Just be mindful of future reports and be sure to review what is considered valid or invalid before reporting.
