So your Debian Linux 9 has a problem, I don't think it is a MAME problem.

Cannot reproduce on Kubuntu. Probably a Pulseaudio problem. What do you have set as 'sound' in mame.ini?

The sound is auto.
Audio: Start initialization
Audio: Driver is pulseaudio
Audio: frequency: 48000, channels: 2, samples: 256
sdl_create_buffers: creating stream buffer of 25600 bytes
Audio: End initialization
I'll test on Windows latter.

Don't loose your faith @Fujix, be right back in a few ;)

I've removed Pulseaudio and changed with Jack and ALSA, it's a Pulseaudio problem.
Close it.

Thank you.
