Summary 01488: msh, xmvsf, xmcota: In the test menu for msh, mshvsf, xmvsf, xmcota, nwarr for sound and voice, the bar for volume disappers
Description In the test menu for msh, mshvsf, xmvsf, xmcota, nwarr for sound and voice, the bar for volume disappers.

Tafoid: There is odd behavior in only MSH, XMVSF, XMCOTA sets in my testing. The volume bar seems to flux on it's own up and down. In some cases, as you change the sound code to play, there is flickering of the bar.

Also, I noticed oddness in the input test screen - attached screen.
When you open the Input Test.. you'll notice immediately that there is an issue with the left joystick - every direction will, after a while, 0 out and a 0 will be placed in the center of display (as shown in picture). Right joystick doesn't exhibit this behavior.

This is partially a valid bug. Only 3 of the original 5 sets reported exhibit an odd behavior in the volume bar. I've adjusted the sets to show this. Also, set this as a POSSIBLE bug until we get PCB confirmation.

Got reports of some sets showing decreased volume. Changing this off of a possible bug as it seems to effect the a games' overall volume.

I think it is mame 0.127u1, but I cannot check it...
Where can I download those old intermediate mame versions?

Thank you StHiryu
I've been able to check it and now can confirm it was solved in mame 0.127u1. According to mameinfo, changes done in cps2.cpp:
"- 0.127u1: Aaron Giles derived CPS2 video timing based on measurements. These are educated guesses. The logic behind the derivations is shown in the source. Changed VSync to 59.629403 Hz."
