Summary MESS-specific 06388: psa, psj, psu, pse [mgspilot], [mgsa], [mgs], [mgsvr], [mgsvrd]: Metal Gear Solid - incorrect sound output
Description Here's a breakdown:
broken ADPCM audio = each and every part is repeated every 2-5 seconds
sequenced audio = the moment the sequenced track is played on MAME, it plays very slowly

There was no such issue on even real hardware.

I've broken down the recording into two audio files.

2. Just hear it.

I can confirm this behavior with all Metal Gear games that are present in the software list (psx.xml). I tested as far back with 0.160 and the same result occurs.
With such a specific issue that only seems to target these Metal Gear games, it might be useful to future progress and development to have this logged here.

For now, I'll set this to Direction Needed and Administrators/Developers may process the report as they see fit.
