Summary 02715: sokyugrt, shienryu: Freezes after the loading and patent screens. shienryu allows coins but that's it.
Description sokyugrt freezes after the loading and patent screens. If you press coin 1 you can hear a coin sound but that's it. shienryu allows coins but that's it.

Doing a hard reset (shift+F3) after it's locked up kind of fixes the problem. I'm saying kind of because sokyugrt will still lock up unless you quickly start the game. Strange, I thought a hard reset was supposed to be the same as starting the game from the commandline.

I couldn't see any obvious cause when I checked the diff between 0.131 and 0.132. I could of course narrow it down, but I don't have any of the old "u" diff files, nor are they anywhere online. Tafoid could you please temp upload all diffs (not just 0.131u3) to make it easier to investigate regressions?

I've fixed this bug by adding screen raw params and removing an hack. Now the main problem is that shienryu (and the vertical chars in stvbios in general) doesn't display anything / goes out of sync but the gameplay is fine.
This HW is VERY fussy about timings / irq timings and I'm really amazed to see that things were working before...
