Summary 03056: Wish: locale-sensitive definitions of keyboard mapping
Description * Keyboard definitions, other than alphanumerical and common functional keys,
seem to assume US keyboard layout.
It would be nice if it could be made to adapt to the Windows locale setting,
so that my "§" and "½" key is referred to as "§" instead of "`", for example.
(Needless to say, my "`" is on a different key (shifted "´").)
Of course the emulation as such should not waste time on locale lookups,
but for the OSD menus it would be very nice to "get it right".
Steps To Reproduce
Additional Information This is perhaps "feature" severity.
This is officially discouraged, but I feel it would be valuable to have a publicly accessible and moderated wish list in the same way as you have the bug list.

Please flame me if you feel strongly that I should not wish for things here.

MAME used to work like that.
Now it uses raw-input for better keyboard input, the regression won't happen.
