Summary 04469: UI: New mini UI feature for mechanical games
Description I have altered uimenu.c to cause games with the "GAME_MECHANICAL" flag to display that they are not working due to unemulated mechanical dependencies rather than merely "NOT WORKING". Please forgive the attached entirety of uimenu.c as I forgot to save an old version first for patching. A search for "Mechanical Dependency" will quickly locate the small amount of added code.

??? Why did you post your source update here ???
Why do you use the bug report form for your personal source update? How come? Why don't you post it to mamedev.org?

Woah, calm down. I've been busy lately, hundreds of thoughts going through my mind, please excuse me if I forgot; it was certainly not my intent to upset or annoy you or anyone else. I know MAME Testers is an important project, but if you're getting stressed, take a little breather. That's how I came up with my update here, in fact.

As for future updates, I'll remember to submit them directly to mamedev, org from now on.

I'm not sure I really see the point.

In the case of the Fruit Machines 'Mechanical' isn't the sticking point, they're not really any more mechanical than a force feedback steering wheel, and I think all hell would break loose if we started tagging all the games with FFB wheels or moving cabinets as mechanical.

The whole warning system needs a revamp anyway, the current wording is NOT always clear, because it makes it sound like the only real problem in many cases is the sound / graphics rather than the sound / graphics being just part of the problem.

The games will require artwork to be fully playable once the drivers are complete, but there is already a flag for that (although the warning doesn't currently go away if external art is found / used)

Overall, I wouldn't care too much, NOT WORKING is not working, anybody really curious as to why can read the driver notes.
