|Tester||kazblox||View Status||Public||Platform||MAME (Official Binary)|
|Assigned To||Resolution||Open||OS||Windows Vista/7/8 (64-bit)|
|Version||0.198||Fixed in Version||Build||64-bit|
|Summary||06999: d3d render does not handle screen orientation and resolution changes at the same time correctly|
|Description||If you dare change both under -video d3d, the d3d handler fails to recreate a new device, spits "Unable to reset, result 8876086C" and indefinitely does this while all emulation stops and the screen blinks repeatedly.|
|Steps To Reproduce||
If you are on an Intel Graphics HD based computer with it's respective drivers, the reproduction steps are simple. There are by default, hotkeys that change screen orientation on CTRL+ALT with the combination of an arrow key. Start with "mame64 c64p" as an example, then press CTRL+ALT+Left if you are on the standard orientation.
Under -video bgfx, this does nothing wrong and you can still use the machine. Under -video d3d, the screen immediately refreshes in a loop and all audio updates come to a halt.
