Summary | 00120: tcobra2: SFX is only from the left speaker.
Description | The music in tcobra2 (taito_f3.c) is in full stereo, but all the sound effects are either centered or play from the left speaker only, depending on the sound effect (e.g. Player 1's shots come from the left speaker while Player 2's shots are centered)

I can hear sound effects on the left, center and right. Can this bug be closed? |

I agree with M.A.S.H. The sound effects behave in MAME exactly as explained in the description, which is supposed to be the game normal behaviour. The title of the issue do not match MAME behaviour: Sound effects do not come only from the left speaker, even in the notified version (0.104u3), that's not true. This is either a badly explained report or an invalid one. |

To me the bug report seems correct. Easy step to confirm: enter the sliders menu and turn down the left speaker to 0 for the Ensoniq. You'll notice you can't here the player 1 shot SFX. Now reset the lef speaker value to 1.0 and turn down the right speaker to 0 for the Ensoniq. You'll notice you can here the player 1 shot SFX. So this seems to confirm that the player 1 shot SFX gets played only on the left speaker. If you do the same while using the player 2 shot, you'll notice the shot SFX gets played both times, thus that sound is played by both the left and the right speaker. |
