Summary | 01544: gauntdl, gauntdl24: Missing platforms in gauntdl gauntd24 on 64bit mame
Description | Some stages in Gauntlet Dark Legacy requires you to flip a switch which activates a platform/elevator allowing you to pass through the rest of the stage. In 32-Bit builds the missing platforms are visible and their switches can be activated, allowing you to pass through the stage. However, in the 64-Bit builds these platforms are not visible, and their switches cannot be activated.
Steps To Reproduce |
First stage of the Province map there is an elevator (just past the large windmill) that has a switch that cannot be activated in 64-Bit builds. Second stage of the Sky map there is another elevator that cannot be activated, this elevator is located right after a mini-boss fight. |
||||
Additional Information |
Tested with 64-Bit SDLMAME (Linux) with MIPS re-compiler enabled, and with MIPS re-compiler disabled and the results were the same. 32-Bit SDLMAME (Linux) had no issues. |

I don't have the files or computer needed to effectively test this. If anyone else can step up and verify or not on baseline 32/64-bit builds to isolate, that would be helpful! |

probably fixed by the new UDRC environment which lead to consistent behavior of all the DRC across the platforms... or by some other change in the SDL code thanks for the confirmation of the fix (I use sdlmame but only 32bit, so I had no way to test this) |
