Summary 02606: toobin: [possible] Dinosaur has wrong colors for the head & tail in Toobin
Description Don't think this is supposed to be normal, the head and the tail of the dinosaur in the 3rd stage are blue. To show that it's not because he has both in the water, in the first shot a small part of the tail is out of the water and in the second it's in.

(Update) After reviewing the screenshot, you can also see that the branches in the water aswell as the treasure chest are blue also.

I tried 0.128u1, Warping to level 3 and all the dinosaurs I saw were of normal color. Also, just in case, I played the game from beginning without the warps to get Class 3 Jurassic level - same result. Can anyone else see this graphic problem?

Ensure you compiled this build fresh and from mamedev only sources.

Well, I've tried it again and this time the colors were correct. Maybe it's a problem that occur's only sometimes.

I don't confirm the issue. Used a warp from the 2nd level to 3rd.

I notice the player in the screenshots is also blue, which I'm guessing is player 2?

Maybe it only happens if you use player 2 instead of player 1?

Looks like there is also a priority error over 'PRESS START' in the 2nd shot, although that could be an original bug too.

Actually no, Haze. I forgot to mention that my player is player 1. He was his normal color during the first stage but eventually turned blue when I continued a game. So it turned out that there was two blue guys (You don't see the second player because he's dead, waiting to respawn). I thought that was normal, that somehow there was a way to switch player colors during the game and I had done so accidently. If there's no normal way to play player 1 as "blue" then it's obviously part of the same problem.

yeah, almost certainly related. I don't know much about the game / hardware but I imagine several of the game objects share a palette / palette bank with player 1, and somehow you've confused the game logic to the point where it'd copied the player 2 palette over the player 1 palette.

without knowing more about the hardware I can't really tell you if it's an original game bug, but it's quite possible it is.

I tested this some months ago. I remember having reproduced this after long testing. It is a random bug and it ocurrs sometimes right after continuing. The first sign of it is watching your character turning into blue color right after being brought back after continue. Together with him, the items of the screen are also turned into blue color at that moment. It is not only the dinosaur.
