Summary 02662: schaser: The "missile" sound is incorrect.
Description The "missile" sound is incorrect.

 This is how it should be:
It should be a constant "klunkity-klunk", and should only be heard while missiles are seen to be moving. When the red missiles speed up, there should be more "klunks per second" with the pitch staying constant.

Additional Information 8/8/8 D.R. - Who says? According to the schematic the sounds are correct. Make a video showing otherwise or trace SX0 & SX1 on a real PCB to find the difference.

The "description" was originally added into the source by me, based on my personal experience with a number of these machines. It was my favourite game at the time. Unfortunately, it does seem that none have survived, thus there is no way to back up my claim. The main thing is that the sound speeds up when the missile speeds up, which is what one would logically expect to happen.

Have you asked any collectors on VAPS nicely if they would record some audio for you? Looks like Andy Welburn owns one, and a few other familiar names.

It is evident the schematic has an error.

Swapped the 15k and 82k resistors in the effect matrix to fix the missile sound.
