Summary | 02904: hsf2j: Repeating sounds are muted
Description |
Any time the game tries to play a hit sound right after it has just played one, the subsequent hit sounds cannot be heard. This is apparent when attempting a combo or multi hitting move - eg. Dee-Jay's 3 hit Jackknife Maximum and his Carnival Hook Kick super combo, also Sagat's 5-hit Fierce Tiger Uppercut. It also affects combos such as jump attack, crouch attack, fireball - any sounds after the first jump attack connects will be inaudible. This doesn't happen in the parent rom (hsf2). |
||||
Steps To Reproduce | Easiest way is to use Super Turbo Sagat and connect with f, d, df Hard Punch (more than 1 hit).

The fact that it only happens on one set would strongly suggest that it's by design. The emulation code, and sound CPU code is identical in all cases. |

hsf2j is an older build of the game (031222) than the other two sets (040202) so it's likely a bug in the original game that Capcom fixed in the later build. It could also be another bad dump like mvsc... |

BTANB confirmed: http://games.t-akiba.net/sf2/bug.html#hyperacbug (Transated from Japanese by me, Fujix can confirm translation accuracy) >Sound effects disappear >When you connect a combo, the sound effect of the second and subsequent hits is missing. >A version [of the PCB] exists where this bug is fixed. |
