Summary 04506: nemesis & clones: Misaligned sprite and background in the 2nd stage.
Description In level 2 there are misaligned sprites/background (turrets) when you move up and down.

Additional Information Originally this report included two reports.
there are some weird behaviour in nemesis

1) Level 1 boss have a strange behaviour. It hits the top of the screen
    after a while it's core become grey and you can kill it with a single shot

2) in level 2 there are misaligned sprites/background (turrets) when you move up and down

Here are some save states. Beware these are "about to die" saves :)

I think there a major timing problem in here
I've seen some videos of level 1 boss without such behaviour

the problem is quite old. I have tested a old MAME version (maybe 138u1)
with problem

Of course I can be wrong but it needs confirmation

The first problem you listed is not a bug, if you take too much time to kill the boss the core will close itself and self-destruct. It happens in all Gradius/Nemesis games.

Not sure about the second one though, I don't think I've ever encountered it.

Latter is probably your typical sprite lag bug.

Hi all, i have uploaded a new working save state for the nemesis 'level 2' issue (plus gradius save state included in the zip also), because the current older attached save states no longer work in mame 150. note: i did a re-test in mame 150 and on level two of nemesis and clones when the game starts to scroll up and down, the sprites/objects are misaligned/laggy

EDIT: i uploaded a new save state because the previous 150 save state no longer works in mame 156

The turrets misaligned with the background could be a BTANB
In the following video, claimed to be pcb, we can see the issue in 2:55. Anyway, I still haven't found a full-play pcb recording of nemesis/gradius showing the pcb first.
