|When picture is not flipped line is also visible in some games in tumblep.cpp and supbtime.cpp. Note that sprites actually are drawn in this line. Only background graphics is shifted.|

IIRC I did wonder if it might be an original game bug, the tilemap appeared to need a 1 pixel shift that nothing else using the same set of chips does.
was a long time since I looked at this tho.

Fixed in mame 0.204
- 0.204: Restored tilemap offset to Tumble Pop and China Town that were lost when driver was merged with supbtime (verified with hardware videos) [David Haywood].
