None of those games listed make music using ZSG-2 (Zoom ZSG-2 Sound) which include: ftimpact, gdarius, raystorm - zn.c All of taitogn.c The sound effects come from SPU which is why they work and the music doesn't. All sets listed show imperfect sound flag, so there really is no bug here since it is (or should be) a known fact Have you somehow found a version of MAME in which these sets/drivers using ZSG-2 do present music? If so, please let us know. |

Yeah, i noticed flag but in this driver but there many audio chips, not sure which ones are imperfect. In ZSG-2 source I didn't noticed any comment about not working music but in MAMEinfo I've found this "31st January 2010: R. Belmont - I picked up Olivier Galibert's in-progress Panasonic MN10200 CPU core and am adapting it for MAME (he was debugging it in a standalone M1-like program). This is used to drive the music in Taito games such as Raystorm and Ray Crisis. WARNING: This does not mean there will be music in those games any time soon. The CPU core is not fully operational (interrupts are ad-hoc at best, the timers are not emulated, and there are probably buggy opcodes) and the ZOOM wavetable playback chip is not emulated. So all this is going to do near-term is make those games slower. This *is* MAME" So no music anytime soon :/ BTW. Here is video from PCB with music |

Not working, not expected to work = no regression and technically, no bug to acknowledge. Suspending for now. |

I would close this as invalid, suspending it is kind of pointless since this isn't likely to become a valid bug in the future. |

I understand. It's something I'm contemplating leaving on so that when others ask about the same question, I'm not closing again. |
