Summary MESS-specific 05192: tg16 [airzonk]: Graphics freeze when traversing to far up the screen
Description When controlling Zonk if you allow him to travel too far up the screen all graphics freeze. Background music continues to play though. Game is unplayable unless you stay below the bottom half of the screen.
Steps To Reproduce Start game and go through character selection. At start of game press up arrow, once past the half way point of the screen the graphics freeze.

I've tried to duplicate using the official softlist matched "superair" chd for PCE CD, run using:
mess -card scdsys superair

No success in duplicating any freezing of graphics or inability to move, though.

Are you using an official softlist CHD and/or cd card that matches hatches to "scdsys" in pce.xml?

This game is actually for the TurboGrafx-16 (PC Engine clone). It is listed in the tg16.xml, I just had a look at the software list and in the header it actually has a comment that the game freezes when you move and has a flag of supported=no. Looks like the bug is already known, sorry for the inconvenience.

It was my misinterpretation, I thought the CD version of Air Zonk is what you were referring to. But, yeah, you are right that it's already flagged as not working for that reason and I can confirm it using the tg16 softlist item "airzonk". Closed
