Summary | 05399: alphaone, alphaonea: player walking and jumping mode's controls are somewhat responsive,
Description |
every time I press a button that moves the player to a part of a maze I get sucked in like a vacuum. one corner of the maze I cannot get out of. if press left, I get the "player jumps to high and hits his head" animation. and if I do move out of the corner, I immediately get sucked back in. and when I encounter a vacuum, the camera is jumpy when I try to escape. so the controls are barely working. |

Steps To Reproduce | |||||
Additional Information | i don't really know if this is a bug in the game, or a controller bug. and i don't know if clones mhavoc, mhavocp, mhavocrv, mhavoc2 are doing this too.

Alpha One is a prototype (much earlier) version of Major Havoc with many missing/changed elements (missing music, changed sounds). MAME can only emulate what has been done and I'm sure there are actions that can happen in this proto that will not happen and have been fixed from happening in release versions of Major Havoc. Therefore, I'm not willing accept any prototype bugs until such time you can they can be reliably reproduced in the latest Major Havoc version. |

There is also a difference in controls between flying the shuttle and destroying ships as opposed to docking the shuttle on the white line. I would assume it's an intended effect of the game because after all, you're in space and part of the game is to collect oxygen. I don't get stuck in the corner or sucked in, but it seems the player has to time their directional moments at specific times after pressing jump. |
