Summary | 05441: dynagear: Sound saturation
Description | Dyna Gear sound saturates.
Steps To Reproduce |
Just launch Dyna Gear, putting several credits in rapid succession is enough to make a displeasing distorted sound. Happens every time during gameplay when several sound effects are played together / enemies explode. |
||||
Additional Information |
Happening since 0.150 Tested 0.149 and 0.139 in which it didn't happen. The sound volume is a bit lower in those versions. Tested with PCI soundcard as well as internal chip = same issue. This made me wonder if I could lower the sound in Mame at an "internal level" but didn't find a way. The different volume sliders in slider menu are lowering the output but it still saturates. I noticed several other games did saturate since some times but don't have them in mind, I will post again if I find anything hinting in that direction. |
