Summary 05614: primrag2: Game no longer boots to attract mode
Description The game, while not working correctly, would boot at least to attract mode. It no longer does and is considered a major regression.

Additional Information Traced to IDE work in r25840, ironically, the revision which got Turret Tower working correctly.

I think that I've fixed this (3a1d3b2b22ca0ef92cde27ddb24826e2d11ee6a7), and turrett still works.

This is a constant battle of IDE timing and other factors which makes is difficult to get working cleanly.

I think half the problem is not documenting the original drive types and their speeds etc. so things keep getting tweaked one way or another...

The game is now playable through a combination of a (guessed) interrupt disable in the CPLD, clearing interrupts after reading a sector and there is more data ready (which the ATA-1 says some drives will do) & a timing change in the SPU DMA handling.

Further investigation is required, when hardware becomes available.
