Summary 06218: holeland: Missing speech synthesis chip
Description Hole Land has speech coming from what is probably a GI SPO256 variant similar to the one used in Sauro.
Steps To Reproduce
Additional Information Chip on PCB has had markings removed. It is possible multiple versions exist depending on region. Also possible the data is identical to Sauro which could be easily verified against PCB.

I hooked up the SP0256 in the driver, but the sauro ROM doesn't seem to be right. Any possibilty for you to dump the ROM and, perhaps, to verify the clocks too?

I don't know how to dump this so I'm asking around. I've checked and the external ROM functionality is not being used so it's not getting the data elsewhere.

I'll check the clocks, it's not going to be 4mhz that's for sure, there's only a 20mhz crystal on here. Very very likely to be the same as Crazy Rally.
