Summary | 06401: Cannot extract mame.zip
Description | I'm trying to build MAME from source for a Gentoo Linux system. There's a problem unzipping MAME source code.
Steps To Reproduce |
Steps to reproduce: 1) wget https://github.com/mamedev/mame/releases/download/mame0178/mame0178s.zip 2) unzip mame0178s.zip 3) unzip mame.zip > /dev/null Output: mame/3rdparty/pugixml/tests/data/????????.xml: mismatching "local" filename (mame/3rdparty/pugixml/tests/data/????????.xml), continuing with "central" filename version |

Are you saying your extraction stops there and does not continue? The file itself isn't important to compiling and can be omitted but has a non-standard filename which does not translate well to certain OS's. I'll acknowledge this knowing there is an issue with the filename on some setups. Windows (where it was created) does allow it to be created but the filename does not match that of the original import of the library. |
