Summary 07098: gt3d, gt97, gt98, gt99, gt2k, gtclassc: Incorrect sounds playing during gameplay
Description Starting in 0.201 the Golden Tee "3D" series of games play incorrect sounds during gameplay. Instead of a swing sound, you may hear a cymbal crash or scoreboard music, etc. Some sounds still play correctly but you will likely hear at least one incorrect one per shot. 0.200 did not have these issues.
Steps To Reproduce Start a game and take a few shots. Observe the strange sounds playing compared to previous MAME versions.
Additional Information I just listed the 6 main games in the series but all variants are effected.

That commits adds a VIA chip which wasn't there before, but even removing it doesn't seem to fix the issue, though it gives more consistent sounds.

This looks fixed now in some testing of gt2k
