Summary 07178: pitfifght and clones: Sprite priority bug
Description Sometimes when you hit the enemy with a combo and he flies far away from you, you can notice a sprite priority problem when he falls on the floor. At the screenshot here, you can see that the enemies' lower arm is cut in half (part of the floor stayed in front of it). This happens in all pitfight sets.
Steps To Reproduce At level 4, stay behind the chairs on the left and let the enemy to get on top of them. Immediately hit the enemy with Ty's Spin Kick or Kato's Combo Punch and he will fall far away from you. When he hits the floor, sometimes part of the floor will stay in front of him.

Until we can prove on the actual PCB this can not happen, it is labeled possible

This youtube user only records pcb videos. He claims this is a pcb board. 06022 doesn't exist in this video (check 3:12), so it is definitely not mame.
Same bug reported in this ticket can be seen in 5:45

I guess MetalGod is correct, this youtube video seems to be recorded from a real pcb (because at the Grudge Matches, the vertical gaps on the ship do not appear as it appears in MAME - but this bug is reported here at MAMEtesters already) and the same sprite priority issue on the floor happened. So we can close this bug report since it was verified with the original pcb.

Another thing I noticed is that this seems to happen when the character is holding a weapon such as the sticks on level 4, so it could be a bug at the stick transparency mask that sometimes is overlaying the character's body on the floor. I will try to better check this later at home.

I've tested it again yesterday and sometimes it happens and sometimes not, exactly as we see in the PCB video posted here. And it happens wether the enemy is holding a weapon or not. So it doesn't seems to be a bug at the transparency mask of the stick as I thought. Case closed!
