|Summary||07186: area51mx, maxforce (and its clones): Maximum Force: Garbage graphics and attract mode freeze after a standard Game Over screen.|
After I got a Game Over Screen without getting a high score in the game, the game didn't show the credits and instead displays garbage graphics (also, the sounds didn't play after that screen). After a period of time, the attract mode freezes during transition screen, and starting the game will go back to normal. This happens also on Area 51/Maximum Force Duo set except with an out of range message.
Here is the credits screen for Maximum Force if you didn't see it:
|Steps To Reproduce||Don't get a high score by doing nothing or keep shooting civilians.|
|Additional Information||You can skip the game over sequence by pressing start and now the credits play normally without freezing the game during attract mode.|
|Affected Sets / Systems||area51mx, maxforce (and its clones)|

I've done some testing with this game. I've found out there's a regression version. It must be between 0.150 and 0.153:
There's no issue in mame 0.149.
In mame 0.150 and 0.151 the game doesn't load for me. It seems the chd file was changed and I don't have the proper version.
In mame 0.152 the game runs but crashes when starting a level.
In mame 0.153 the game runs correctly and the issue ocurrs exactly as in mame 0.205.

|Do credits work after you get a game over screen on earlier versions of MAME?|

|Yes, credits work.|
