Summary 07613: mk3: [possible] Audio Loops
Description After the emulation loads and and attract mode begins, at the climax of the Sub-Zero match with Kano, the last note or two of the audio continues to play while attract mode continues. It doesn't stop looping until the audio at the Stryker vs. Nightworlf screen begins. The same effect does not happen at the end of that match or the match with Sindel vs. Sektor.

You may have to turn up your speaker volume to hear it.

I won't believe it is a bug unless you can prove it is different in a freshly booted arcade of MK3.

I listened to the end of 4 demonstration battles from a fresh boot of mk3 and each demonstration battle has different sounds as the screen freezes before the demonstration mode progresses. I also noted the emulation doesn't fall under 100% speed (in my testing) so there doesn't appear to be frame skipping or performance cause to explain any possible audio hiccups.

Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any actual demonstration recording videos in a quick check on youtube, but I figure there has to be one out there that isn't MAME.

Confirmed
I'm using portaudio

tested on mame 0.220 and mame 0.161..... probably a btanb, but a very hard one to prove. It would require full access to a pcb and reseting it many times.... sub-zero has demo fights against the whole cast of characters... I've even seen another fight against kano in a different background.

Looks like it occurs every time with the Subway arena throughout attract mode regardless of the combatants. Here are three examples in the same video clip with different fighters. I'll keep an eye out for a legit arcade attract mode. I used portaudio and default audio. I'm leaning towards a BTNAB also.

So I may have solved this mystery and it may not be a bug. For giggles, I loaded the ROM into BridgeM1 and skipped through until I got to track 8. It seems to be the audio track that is triggered at the end of the Subway arena during attract mode regardless of the combatants. The track just droned on endlessly with the looping effect heard in my original video clip and it continues for over a minute and a half. So it appears this was intentional. Why? Who knows.

I exported the track to the link below if you want to listen for yourself or you can load the ROM into BridgeM1 and check it out if you're bored.

The DCS sound system need rework or remade, this happen in all midway games, too happen with MK1

Can confirm when the volume is set to the max, the sound cripping (very noticiable in shao khan explosion in MK2)
