Summary 07772: luckywld, luckywldj: Lucky and Wild aren't talkitive + some missing sound effects.
Description After watching a Youtube video that its being played on a real PCB, i wondered to myself why Lucky and Wild doesn't talk alot, as well with some missing sound effects like the sound effect it plays when selecting between 1 or 2 players, the sounds in the result screens, the map screen after reaching stage 2 where it doesnt play the sound anymore, the dynamite clock sounds (Which its replaced with some weird buzzing) and others, didin't check the entire video but you can take a look to see what it's different/missing.

I have no idea if these audio events are from the Japanese version or its just random for both the Normal and Japanese version
Steps To Reproduce Its always active, just play the game and you wont hear Lucky and Wild talking alot.

A gameplay video, as long as possible, in current MAME would help confirming this bug.

By now all videos I've seen on youtube proves Lucky and Wild have no audio when speaking most of the time. It seems like other sounds interfere with it.

As soon as other sounds start, like shooting or the engine of the car, Lucky and Wild talking can't be heard.

I observed this as well. I remember the game on the attract mode demo would say the famous "That's it? no my car's trashed!" right away but to get mame to do it would take numerous tries or cycles in game to get the sound call to work.

I'm curious if this could also be related to the bad engine sounds in the Final Lap games, Suzuka games and Four Trax?

The game uses a C140 so yes probably.

With the latest fix for finalap ans suzuka8h this now does the sound effect when selecting 1 or 2 player game. If someone wants to recheck all the sounds that were missing..

Also in game you now can hear the guys talking when they're moving their lips.

they seem to move their lips a lot on the continue screen with nothing being said, but otherwise yes, it does seem very talky, I'd be surprised if there was anything missing, otherwise it would just be too much.

I have seen David 'mamehaze' Haywood from Youtube doing a Stream and i've saw that my report have been fixed.
Glad to see that not only the weird buzzing sound it's gone from some Namco games that uses the C140 sound chip but im also happy to see that Lucky and Wild are talkitive like in the original PCB.
