Version 0.233 Fixed in Version Build 64-bit
Fixed in Git Commit Github Pull Request #
Summary 08019: All: -Nomaximize starts the MAME window in upper left instead of centered.
Description Actual:
Playing w/ the new scale options going into tip of tree and noticed this behaviour; if you specify -nomaximize you don't get a centered window. It starts in the upper left of your monitor offset by a hundred pixels or so left and top. I haven't used -nomaximize for a very long time so not sure how far back the behaviour goes, but I do remember it being centered at one time.

Expected:
Would expect a center window like you get w/ -nomaximize off.
Steps To Reproduce mame dkong -norc -window -nomaximize
mame dkong -norc -window
mame pacman -norc -window -nomaximize -ka -uesy -sx 4 -video d3d -nofilter
Additional Information Happens in .233 official from mamedev.org and tip of trunk from today: 0.233 (mame0233-55-g5c21151190a)

Not so sure this isn't intended behavior now?
In some quick testing, it has been like this since the major video rewrite WAAAAY back in 0.107 time (going on 15 year ago).

Heh I knew I remembered seeing it! ;-) I'd posit though that we want it to match the other behaviour of windowed modes, which are centered, for consistency.
