| Summary | 08342: spec128 [cobrasar and clones]: Voiceover missing in Cobra's Arc [spectrum and clones] | ||||
| Description | Wherever the voiceover should start talking, MAME only makes a pop sound. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | -Load the spec128 core. -Press Enter for the Tape Loader. -Activate UI controls with Scroll Lock. -Press F2 to load (throttle as needed). -Once loaded, press T to start the game with Keyboard controls. -After the text appears on screen, a mechanical voice should actually read it aloud. | ||||
| Additional Information | If I remember correctly, this may be due to the tape saving sound, which is audible on real hardware, not being hooked up in MAME. | ||||

    | No.20306 Tafoid Administrator Jun 11, 2022, 19:00 | Assuming this doesn't need additional ram or hardware that isn't default to the launched machine - I can confirm. |

| No.20341 ICEknight Tester Jun 21, 2022, 23:12 edited on: Jun 22, 2022, 18:14 | Out of curiosity, I created a new WAV tape in MAME and started recording while the game was running. The speech is indeed there as I suspected, just not hooked up to anything audible. I've attached said WAV tape converted to MP3 (Warning: May sound a bit loud). |
