Description | At the end of thunderl, there's a message written in a near-illegible font that seems to not be used anywhere else in the game (that I noticed). I found this font in F4 (page down). In this image, the black background stuff is from the gfxset, the blue stuff is lifted from the ending screenshot, the black text is a guess at what it says. This is obviously wrong... | ||||

I was tested this issue as soon as I get original PCB, unfortunately exactly same end screen showed-up. Clearly a 'game' bug or something else (riddle?). |

I did some attempt as Caesar Cypher with all combinations, no luck so far. I found ending message on game's rom, it's offset 00001F8Eh. Uploaded a text file with these values and it's letter counterparts. There is also some slight error on table above, posted on 2008. |

I don't know whats left other then the breaking the message code. This special cheat file intended for easing game testing, added "Finish Current Level Now!" and "Finish Game Now!" and some others too. "Automatic Play" mode is something I never seen before anything like it. "Finish Game Now" is not perfect but does the job. Again the purpose I posted cheat file here is easing/helping game testing. Hope that helps. |
