Description |
Konami SCC sample reload is wrong in MAME. I did some hardware tests on my old MSX1, see attachment for .rom files and source code. test1: tests if freq write will reload sample. answer = yes result on MAME: continuous tone result on MSX: beep,beep,beep,beep,... test2: tests if freq<9 sets sample to 0 answer = no result on MAME: squarewave result on MSX: 1 pop and then silence test3: tests if volume is latched same time as sample answer = yes result on MAME: squarewave result on MSX: siren test4: same as test3, except high freq result on both MAME and MSX: silent test5: like test3, but for keyon instead of volume answer = yes result on MAME: squarewave result on MSX: siren (sounds same as test3) |
