| Summary | 08785: gemini and silkworm: OKI MSM5205 is quiet compared to the PCB and OST | ||||
| Description |
Recently i've been listening to the Gemini Wing Soundtrack from the Tecmo Arcade Game Chronicle album, listening to the musics, seems that the OKI soundchip is at a higher volume, but of course then i tried to search a video that was recorded from the PCB but sadly, i got no result. Had to look in another gemini report and look in the comments part, It was back at the report number 01185 and then i saw Fujix's note posting a Youtube video with a PCB recording of the game, seems that the OKI soundchip is at the same volume from the Soundtrack. Here's the video: A .mp3 file have been included as well, is a music track from the OST I'm pretty sure the same problem happens with Silk Worm, from the same Soundtrack mentioned before, it haves a higer OKI volume. As with Rygar.. Rygar i don't know alot of it, i asume the OKI was used for the character voices, sounds somewhat quiet as well. |

I was gonna say that I've tested the changes and while Gemini Wing got changed, i also tried Silk Worm but seems that the OKI MSM5205 it's slightly louder than normal compared to the soundtrack but i couldn't add an additional file. [And i also couldn't find a PCB recording from Silk Worm] False alarm from me, turns out i had the sound chip volume increased before the change, restored it back to normal. |
