Summary | 01275: strider: In service mode the unused 3rd start button is positioned to on. It should be off.
Description | In service mode the unused 3rd start button is positioned to on. It should be off.
Steps To Reproduce | |||||
Additional Information |
To test it, I did the following: 1. Pressed f2 enter service mode (it didn't go into service mode w/out resetting) 2. Pressed f3 to reset the machine (now it's in service mode) 3. Looked at the inputs screen - start 3 was set to ON like the bug description says. 4. Pressed f2 - start 3 toggles to off 5. Pressed f2 - start 3 toggles to on 6. Pressed f2 - start 3 toggles to off (and so forth) Therefore, it appears that the test mode's start 3 button (unused in the actual game) serves as the game's service mode button. When I enter service mode using the dip switch instead of f2 and look at the input screen, start 3 is set to off as it should be. Therefore the initial pressing of f2 to get into test mode is what toggled start 3 to on. I don't know how the actual machine worked, but it makes sense that this wouldn't be a bug. -jerryjanis |
