As per now, there's always a gap between screens, which makes me wonder about the actual drawing code used by this.

Tested on mame 0.201, window mode. The gap doesn't reappear anymore after moving the screen anywhere, minimizing it or whatever.
It seems to be solved.

The bug is still there in MAME 0.201. Start with
mame warriorb -window
Change in 'Video Options' menu to Dual Side-by-Side (Gapless).
Now change with the PC mouse MAME's window several times from small to large and vice versa.

You are switching from windows mode to fullscreen. That does not work.
You must use the ***PC mouse*** to resize the window. Lower right corner and then pull up...

It's due to rounding layout screen element edge coordinates (same thing with rect element). You will get this in every gapless dual screen game, either a black seam or more likely a column/row of pixels that's slightly thinner.
