Summary 01801: gauntlet and clones: Possible missing attract mode sounds
Description MAME no longer plays speech and sfx in Gauntlet's attract mode eg.'Treasure 100 points' 'Save potions for later use' etc. Even back when it did (regression 0.123u4), it only played them once on the first run-through of the attract mode after power-up. I think this issue needs PCB verification to see if/when the speech should be played. Might also be related to the gaunt2 bug 01125.

I tested some.
In 0.123, if I disable the demo sound in the service mode and quit MAME, then restart, the game plays sounds in the attract mode.
In 0.125u1, it doesn't play sounds regardless of the setting in the service mode.

The demo sound toggle in the service mode seems to control the brief bit of music played on the screen showing the warrior and the valkyrie. As far as I can tell this works fine and always has, it's just the initial attract mode speech that only played once that seems a bit odd...and now even that's missing!

Thanks to Fujix for his service mode finding. But it also works if you start
Gauntlet, wait for the attract mode and then exit MAME. Restart the game and you
can hear the sounds. Delete the cfg\gauntlet.cfg and nvram\gauntlet.nv first.
 
I think the game generated the NVRAM later or MAME must wait until
the game generates the NVRAM for Gauntlet.

This all works not in MAME 0.123u4, this is the *Regression Version* and
not 0.125u1.
