This has long bothered me .. never sounded right and darn annoying too :)
If it wouldn't be a bother, could you up a recording from the PCB?

Sorry but I tried the pcb at a friend place.
The pitch was good ,we compared against mame and the clocks were verified I think by Guru.

The problem lies in how the samples are being played

Here's a video from caius' PCB:

For some reason my brain sucks at comparing audio, so I'll let other decide.

The audio does no longer repeat all the time like it did back in 2008 - not sure why this is still not viewed as fixed?

A note:

The music is is more fast based in the actual version (192)

If you move the "OKI" sound cpu to 93% the music and sounds effect has this same effect from video

And the "cut" music not happen too

Music restarting was fixed in 0.145u7. Tested from the UI32 unstable repository on progetto-SNAPS.
Not sure who and what actually did the fix, though

Fortuna: The OKI clock was corrected by system11 here: https://git.redump.net/mame/commit/src/mame/drivers/stlforce.cpp?id=c8ff510cc6d5b5da1d4664a47737ce0fc550eb37 I'll see if caius can measure his PCB, too.
Anyway, this bug is fixed. Thanks izius for finding the version where it was fixed.
