Summary 02455: Bad UPD7759 speech output.
Description The UPD7759 speech output is since MAME 0.91u2 bad.
WIP 0.91u2 : uPD7759 rewrite, fixing sound in System 16 games [Aaron Giles].

Example game: Rabio Lepus with the spoken words "Stage One".
Verify the MAME waves 0.91u1 and 0.91u2 or 0.127u5, and see the wave snapshots. The end of the word 'Stage' is missing in 0.91u2, it sounds like 'State'.

Highly doubtful this is a bug. You will need a PCB recording to prove it. The original implementation was based on guesswork, the new one on actual specs. Even in the waveform you can see that it is producing extra crap that should not be there. Comparing against the old version is not valid in this case.

Confirming, but setting as possible pending confirmation from PCB, original recordings.

The "possible" flag is not visible in the overview, just in the details.

Added a PCB recording, it sounds like "0.91u1" was wrong and then correctly corrected in "0.91u2" :-)
