I'm taking a stab at correcting these as well as DIP locating the rest of the driver.. |

I'm just finishing up this game and I had a question: Demo Sounds are (according to manual) Default "OFF" but MAME does not allow for a Default state other than "ON". As was mentioned to me, there is an untold uniformity that all sets need to have, Demo Sounds being one of those which always must default on. But, as far as accuracy and in a documentation standpoint - are there other instances where I should not keep set defaults to what is stated in manual? This also has a Japanese/English switch which shows Default Japanese in the DIPs from manual (although in driver, it was defaulted to English). |

the 'how to play' dipswitch doesn't appear to change anything. It should be left as 'unknown' with a comment in the source. As a general rule, any changes made, even with a manual as reference, should be tested. Manuals are often wrong. It makes sense to note what is listed in the manul next to the dip even if it is non-functional, or it's function differs however, as it's possible an alternate set may function as described, and prevents errors being introduced in the future if somebody else decides to 'correct' it using the manual without verifying. |
