Summary 00285: cfghtice: The color of the ice field has changed and now blue completely.
Description The color of the ice field has changed and now blue completely. See screen shot, left : 0.63 (-0.104u6) / center : 0.106 (0.104u7-0.106) / right : 0.115 (0.106u1-)

Aaron says: The blue ice color I'm a bit baffled by, but the driver could really use a bit of freshening up, so when we get around to it, we'll look at it.

Now title screen is also affected by colur change. After resolution change there is also some garbage after playfield.

The light blue is color 0/16, but MAME renders it as transparent in the foreground tilemap. Schematics suggest that this should be correct, though the same part of those does appear to be wrong about background priority.

well we match the magazine shot, so I'd say everything was fine?

Data East made some odd choices, the lighter colour looks better but evidently they didn't use it either due to not being able to make it work, or because they really liked the darker blue.

The videos on this YouTube channel all appear to be PCB captures too

Video and poster combined seem convincing enough. I think we can call this case... frozen.
