Summary | 03643: Few number of games not loading. MAME states each game is missing one or more required ROM or CHD images. | ||||
Description |
A number of roms I have won't load/run with MAME 0.136b because it states one or more required ROM or CHD images is missing, but I believe that may not be the case because all these games worked fine with the previous version 0.135b. So right now I'm back to using MAME 0.135b again. Listed of tested games known to have this problem; - All related to CAVE company - Donpachi (donpachi.zip) Dodonpachi (ddonpach.zip) Esp Ra.De (esprade.zip) Guwange (guwange.zip) Dangun Feveron/Fever SOS (dfeveron.zip/feversos.zip) |

A default eeprom has been added to the romset. If you add it to your sets they will work again. |

Quite simply, you are missing files one for more REQUIRED files (as the message clearly states). Missing files happens all the time as MAME updates. http://mamedev.org/devwiki/index.php/FAQ:ROMs#Why_does_MAME_report_.22missing_files.22_even_if_I_have_the_ROMs.3F In this case, there was a source built eeprom which was created for each game that is now expected to be part of the romset. You usually can create the eeprom (.NV file, located in your NVRAM folder) with an earlier version and it should match up or at least allow the game to be played without too much trouble. Invalid Bug. Closing. |
