Summary 03923: shangonro: Best laptime for every stage are not saved (possible)
Description In this set best laptime are not saved and every time you start a game your time is displayed as the best just as you run the game for the first time; the behavior is different from shangonrb on the same driver (segahang) and from shangon and other sets on segaorun driver.

I'm not sure.. I got this (snap attached) when I played one game and played another without restarting the machine, the time was saved. Since there doesn't appear to be an NVRAM for this board (or written), it seems to make sense that scores and times are not saved and are reset between machine restarts.

Unless I'm missing something..

The best lap time is correctly recorded for me too. Please check the second screen shot.

Both shangonrb and shangonro don't support saving NVRAM, they seem to work the same here, if I reset or restart MAME, high scores and best times are lost.
In other sets supporting NVRAM, they are not lost on reset.

Although I don't know the reason why these two sets don't support NVRAM, I'm closing this one for the time being.
If someone who concerns this issue thinks this is to be listed here, please reopen it.
